Coco, Lukas, Izhar and Ed take a great deal of pride in sharing their passion for Aruba's marine environment with you! It is our professional guides that make this unique experience safe, exciting and fun for everyone.. "Snorkel & Scuba in Style" with us on a Solar Powered Sea Scooter in our crystal clear waters. See the Sea as its meant to be; undisturbed by you and me. You'll be glad you did!

Our goal at Aruba Bob is to give you, your friends and your family the most memorable and eco-friendly snorkeling & Scuba experiences on Aruba.

You will enjoy the most exciting and beautiful snorkeling at our most popular reef safely with our electric Seascooters moving you effortlessly through the Caribbean Sea without leaving a trace that you were ever there...the way it should be in the sea.

As a certified PADI, SSI or NAUI scuba diver you can join our regular boat and shore dives or take it to the next level with our exclusive Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) dives. You can obtain your PADI DPV Diver Certification or try our new Discover DPV Dive". Cover more reef, use less air, dive longer and be lazy like a scuba diver should be!

Unlike most snorkeling tours, we enter from the beach and not a boat. Using our underwater scooters we cover nearly one mile of reef. With little to no effort on your part our 3 speed Seascooters move you effortlessly through the sea above some of our most beautiful reefs. This way you can spend your time and energy really seeing the sea instead of working hard to swim in the sea. It is truly spectacular!

We offer "Discover DPV" Dives and also can certify you as a PADI DPV Diver! We offer several different boat and shore dives sites for you Diver propulsion Vehicle Dives!

Safety First

Before we venture out, everyone is fitted for the appropriate gear. Life jackets are a requirement and we provide two types: inflatable or fully padded. The inflatable life jacket is great whether you are an experienced swimmer or not. If you need the extra support, you simply blow air into them and they keep you afloat. If you want to be free to dive below the surface, then you do not need to blow air into them. The fully padded type is more of a traditional life jacket, which is perfect for non-swimmers. For our Scuba Diving Tours we require you to have a PADI, SSI or NAUI scuba diver certification for your safety and we can provide rental dive gear for your boat, shore or Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) dives!
Power Snorkeling

We provide the equipment

We provide the necessary equipment including masks, snorkels, water shoes, and fins. All equipment is sized and fitted to your needs. Some people choose to bring their own masks and snorkels if you know your gear works well. However, most masks leak and fog up quickly so you might prefer using our high quality non-fog masks. We specially treat all masks before being used to ensure they do not fog and after each tour, all equipment is washed and sanitized. We recommend you use our water shoes because they are comfortable, protect your feet, and slide easily into our fins.

Tour Age, Snorkel and Swimming Experience

The age group of our snorkelers ranges from 6 to 70. It can be a bit difficult for young children to manage the scooters. In that case, one of our guides will gladly let them hold onto our arms and take them for a ride! This can be quite an adventure for the little ones. In some cases, this is not just an option for kids! If you are a beginner snorkeler or swimmer, we will gladly help you along the way. The area we snorkel, Mangel Halto, is different from your average trip. We snorkel from the shore, NOT a boat. The depth of water ranges from shallow to deep, then back to shallow. Once we reach our half way point, we stop and allow everyone to rest for a bit. At that point, everyone has the option to continue on into deeper waters, head over the reef, or head back through the shallow waters. With more than one guide, we can sometimes split into groups. If some are comfortable and confident to go over the reef, then one or two of us will take them while the other guide heads back with the others. We understand that everyone has different levels of experience.

Video tutorials

Check out our youtube channel for videos, and experience our snorkel tour. We will be offering video tutorials of what to expect on your tour and how to use and care for the equipment.

Yemanja Grill

Yemanja Grill

Located in a historic building in Downtown Oranjestad, Yemanja Woodfired Grill has been captivating diverse palates since 2007. Chef Joyce de Cuba-Hüsken and her staff skillfully maneuver smoke and fire to cultivate the natural taste that emerges when wood-fired grilling is performed with precision.

Zeerovers is a local Aruban bar where you can drink, eat and enjoy the view from the rear deck on the water. You can enjoy fresh fish right off the boat along with shrimp and sides.

Should I book in advance or wait until I get to the island?
We do get very busy so booking in advance is the best way to avoid disappointment.
We try and get people in our groups with similar experience so we can work as hard or little as you like. It's important to realize that snorkeling is a physically demanding activity, even with our scooters. Our normal tour route is around 1300 meters long. If you have any medical conditions, it's best to seek advice from you doctor before you try snorkeling.

It depends on the time of year. Usually our groups are between 6 and 8 people. If you have a larger group please let us know and we will try to accomodate you.
We recommend that you don't bring your camera. It can be difficult to use with the underwater scooter plus your camera may bang against the side and get damaged or you may drop it while your mind is on all the beautiful sights below you. Let us take care of the photos for you, we have lots of experience and will be able to get some great shots of you while you snorkel and of the fish and coral too. How much does that cost I hear you ask? Not a Penny! It's all included in the price. Photos will be sent via an online web album usually within 24hrs.
We are located at Club Arias in Savaneta. See Map. View Directions PDF
Transportation: Can you pick us up from our resort/hotel/cruise?
Yes, this is not a problem but we do charge a fee of $50 per group (round trip). Just let us know how many people you have in your group and where you are staying. We no longer provide transportation service to cruise ship passengers. If you're a cruise passenger and want to join us on our tour you will need to arrange on-time transportation. A taxi can cost $40+ one way. We are located 15 min from the cruise port.
We have taken a couple of ladies at 6 months pregnant, we take it very easy and only go as far as she is comfortable. We always recommend you seek advice from your doctor to make sure you understand the risks.
Ideally not, having hair on your top lip breaks the seal between your skin and the mask. We have Vaseline for the guys that want to keep the leakage to a minimum. Everyone is very different, some guys deal with it better than others. The best advice is to shave it all off, even just under your nose will help. It is no fun if your mask leaks and you constantly have to deal with it. We recommend if you don't want to remove your moustache\mustache you should at least shave about 1/4" under your nose so the mask will seal.
No I am afraid not, it is mandatory for all guests to wear a life jacket, we have two styles of life jackets. One is the kind you see on an airplane. With this type, you can blow air into it if you feel like you need some support but without air in the jacket you are free to dive down if you want. The other is a padded vest that will keep you on the surface of the water no matter what.
Absolutely! Mangel Halto is one of the most beautiful spots on the island to snorkel with a great collection of corals and a wide variety of marine life. You will not find anything else like it.
Not unless you want to. Many visitors look at our photos online and see guests diving under the water. This is not neccessary to see all the reef has to offer. Over 90% of our tour guests are comfortable snorkeling on top of the water. Our tour guides dive down to take 100's of great pictures of you from below and close up's of the fish and coral.

Some guests are comfortable to try diving at some of the deeper spots. While holding your breath you are able to let the scooter pull you under the water. Some guests even attempt to reach a sunken boat 35' below the surface. If this is something you might like to try we can give some advice. But either way you are free to enjoy the best coral reef on Aruba however you feel comfortable.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is the tour?
$100 per person for a group tour. $120 per person for a private tour.
We are in the water for around 1 1/2 hrs but longer or shorter depending on the conditions and your experience.
Yes, we have a standard Release of Liability Waiver Form in a PDF format that you can view and print out here.
We do rent wet suits, just ask one of our guides for more details.
Please bring cash for your payment as we do not take credit cards. Also you will need a towel and some energy, everything else you would need is provided. If you have your own equipment, you are more than welcome to bring it along. You may want to wear a t-shirt or rash guard to keep the sun off your back.
Our first tour is at 9:00am, that’s usually the best time for conditions, and we go out again in the afternoon at 1:00-2:00pm.
Yes, the minimum age is 10 years old and the maximum age is 70 years old. If your children are under 10 years old they will need to be great swimmers and very comfortable in the ocean or they will not have a good time.
No, we go in from the beach at Mangel Halto.
Of course you can, it's best to contact us as early to see if we have space. The price for a private tour is $120 per person. Minimum of 2 people.
I can't swim but I really want to go snorkeling. It looks like so much fun on your video, can I go with you?
It's certainly not out of the question but we would have to keep you fairly close to the beach. I recommend you get yourself down to a local swimming pool or some fresh water and get some practice in. The more confident you are in the water, the more I can show you what Aruba has to offer.
Yes, all Aruba beaches are public so you can enjoy them at your leisure and free of charge. However, our experience and knowledge of snorkeling the reef assures that you will have an enjoyable and safe tour.
Good news, we are now offering tours to our cruise ship guests! In the event of inclement weather, we might inform you that your tour has been canceled (we make the call on this one) in which case you would receive a full refund. If it rains, it's typically for a short duration and we're going to get wet anyway! We require that you bring a taxi (about $40+) to our place (we'll send directions). At the conclusion of your tour, we're happy to arrange a taxi for you. Excited to now have cruise ship passengers ON BOARD with Aruba Bob! Feel free to check us out on Trip Advisor.

Quality Photos

Underwater photos of your tour are included!

During your tour we will take plenty of photos of you and your group, plus all the amazing things we see along the way. Some people ask to bring their own camera but we recommend you leave it behind. Since you will be using a scooter, it can be difficult to manage a camera and control the scooter at the same time. We want our snorkelers to relax and enjoy the experience, so let us capture the moment on camera for you! See a sample of photos below.
